Studioworks

Yesterday, we launched Studioworks, the platform that I (and Nick, and Chris, and Jessica) have been working on all year.

There’s a lot more to what Studioworks will be, but for right now, it’s primarily a platform that lets creative people send really nice invoices in the easiest way we could manage. Our early (“founding member”) beta users seem to love it, and I’m really proud of what we’ve built.

I intend to write more about some of the technology we’re using, but Nick already shared some of this; you should definitely read that if you haven’t.

We’re doing things in a different-from-normal way—to build a sustainable business and responsible product that we (and our customers) can feel good about. Personally, there seem to be fewer and fewer things that I’m willing to work on, with surveillance capitalism, rampant scams, privacy invasions, and all kinds of really gross stuff taking over our beloved web. But I am really excited to make this work—to prove that it can work.

If you or someone you know are in the market for a tool that helps you create beautiful invoices, and want to give it a go, you can try it for free with my link:
